I think Dowd is mostly crazy but here she’s on the mark.
The Dark Prince has always been all about what he wants, nothing else.
What he wants is to destroy the institutions and damage the soul of America as completely as he can.
He now feels free to do exactly that, and Dowd is just pointing it out.
