In a group of people who share common interests, I mentioned that I had experienced a "moment of feeling entirely alone." And that it felt wonderful to be on my own.
One of the men gasped and blurted out: "That's NOT NORMAL."
I countered, "That may not be average."
And he almost shouted, NO, that's not normal."
He has a psych degree. He has never been successful, because at the age of 70, he's still whining about terrible treatment at the hands of his father when he was three. OF course, he's all in favor of "hope and change," wants those "dreamers" to overrun us as fast as they can.
And because conservatives ARE big on individuality and autonomy, that's precisely the reason conservatives have so much trouble electing conservatives...we're having trouble coalescing around viable candidates. My conservative is your "RINO".
And instead of grouping like libs do, we vote our own consciences and/or principles. And when our guy isn't THE candidate, a lot of us just stay home.
Libs, on the other hand, HAVE to group! They yearn and long for and need to be a part of something...an organization, a bureaucracy...something.
Seeking purity and perfection in our own, isolated echo chamber is sometimes killing us.
But hey, that's who we are.
