Sometimes I find arrogance in sports pretty endearing. One of my favorite quotes is from one of the biggest mouths in sports history (Reggie Jackson), and something about it really puts things in perspective:

"In the building where I live on Park Avenue there are ten people who could buy the Yankees, but none of them could hit a ball out of Yankee Stadium."

LOL.

My favorite example is the late John McKay telling a story about going duck hunting with Bear Bryant. “When I went duck hunting with Bear Bryant, he shot at one but it kept flying. ‘John,’ he said, ‘there flies a dead duck.’ Now that’s confidence.” Love it!
