I just don’t get this politically correct.... killing. You go in for a colonoscopy, the guy pushes the button on the digital IV and before you can ask how long it will take to knock you out cold...you’re OUT COLD. At this point they could cut off each limb, including your head, and you wouldn’t know the dif. Just give them that stuff and triple the dosage, then go get a spade to dig the hole. This argument is an oxymoron anyway. You’re going to KILL the person and for damned good reason. (Or it better be). What’s with this treat them humanely stuff about? I’m sure their victim wasn’t treated likewise.
Then the left disrupted (by either threatening, taxing, or getting in bed with the makers) the ingredients used for lethal injections, which resulted in shortages and the states using more costly (and less effective w/gruesome side effects ingredients) for lethal injections.
So now the left got what it wants. Parading around a "botched" execution and their liberal front groups demanding "reform." They now can proceed with lethal injection being classified as "cruel and unusual" punishment, so then that can get banned too and then they can use their liberal front groups to pressure states that currently have the death penalty to abolish it.
And that, my friends, is an example of how and why the Left have always been successful at getting their agenda implemented over the past 50 years.
