Catholic bishops preparing for the next synod on the family in October will be studying the "most sensitive issues" raised at the last meeting in October 2014, Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, synod secretary general, said Thursday. Those include the Church's stance on gays, communion for divorced and remarried Catholics, and cohabitation outside marriage.
Divisions within the clergy on these issues came to the fore at last year's meeting, when a final document showed openings that appeared in a half-way working document had largely been reversed. Vote counts published by the Vatican showed that three controversial articles, including the final version of one concerning gays, won an absolute majority but failed to get the two-thirds vote needed for a broad consensus.
The first version of the synod document spoke of "accepting and valuing their sexual orientations" and giving gays "a welcoming home" and also mentioned the "gifts and qualities" homosexuals have to offer.

This is going to get interesting.
Indeed it is.
it is NOT a sin to be a homosexual. It is not a sin to be a heterosexual. It is a sin, however, to misuse either orientation. The church has limitations on both....stay within her limitations and all is well, stray, and do so at your own risk....
