Better we have genuine border enforcement and speedy deportation of illegal border crossers. Require border patrol to be on the lookout, catch [no release] and detain. Have the deportation hearing on the bus ride from the detainment facility to the border [no hardship waivers or appeals].

You know, the government isn’t the only organization that can build fences. Why couldn’t a private initiative get permission from landowners along the border to build private fences, oh, 100-200 yards north of the border? Sure, the illegales could cross the border and be officially on US soil. But that would be about it.

The war on drugs depends on an Open Border with little or no enforcement to continue. Because CLOSING THE BORDER would END the War on Drugs Overnight.
