Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), one of the most relentless critics of the Obama administrations immigration directives, is taking over the Senates panel that oversees immigration, according to three sources familiar with the decision.
Sessions is set to assume the chairmanship of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees and Border Security, according to the sources giving the conservative a key platform to advance his immigration policies. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), a new member of the Judiciary Committee, is going to be the panels vice chair, the sources said.

Vitter also has to run for Governor with conservatives worried about his Common Core flip flop. Keep in mind Jindal's opposition to Common Core is total BS and Vitter was calling him out on the flip flop. Vitter's a Rhodes Scholar and he knows pandering on amnesty is stupid.

Lamar Smith is good but he doesn't throw bombs like Vitter or Steve King. Smith was tenure limited as Chairman and King was not promoted by Boehner and Cantor.

"I dont remember the surprisingly nice answers, but on the S.O.B. factor the senators response was immediate: David Vitter.
Hes a nasty piece of work, the junior senator from Louisiana. He doesnt seem to like anybody. He loathes senior senator Mary Landrieu, he detests Governor Bobby Jindal, he despises the media. They all pretty much hate him back. And yet, by merely announcing, he immediately became the odds-on favorite to win the governors race in 2015. "
I like Vitter, and he likes me. I voted for him twice, and will do what I can to help get him elected governor.
Excellent news!
Bttt
Vitter came out for Common Core initially, a few months ago. He has since recanted.
My wording wasn’t good.
Vitter and Jindal are both flip flops on Common Core.
