Just waiting for somebody to say that that think is stealthy.
About as stealthy as Mount Kilmanjaro...
There’s definitely a head-on stealthiness conveyed by the intake. Which is somewhat similar to the 90-degree rotated F-35 inlet trialed some years ago on an F-16. But that only reduces the detection range somewhat, and only from a limited frontal aspect. So it’s a “stealther” J-10 from the same perspective that the B-1B is a stealthier evolution of the original B-1A.
As said before, this thing is Raptor-bait in every aspect of a fight. It’s going to be more maneuverable than an F-35, but the F-35 will have much better head-on stealth, a better radar and better data-linking. So the F-35 will see it first, and at enough distance to pop off a AMRAAM before the J-10 pilot knows the F-35 is there. However in such circumstances the F-35 is going to be limited to internal stores only, meaning only two AMRAAMS.
