I honestly don't understand how the Seth Rogan (who I can't stand) tweet is offensive. Can someone explain it to me? Is it the fact that he is comparing American Sniper to Inglorious Bastards? If so, what is wrong with that? Hitler got killed in Inglorious Bastards.

I think some people are just programmed to be permanently offended, or at least offended when they are told to be so.

What is it about positive portrayals of Navy SEALs and the families that support them back home that induces liberal actors into making Nazi propaganda comparisons? On Sunday, comedic actor Seth Rogen took to twitter to say that “American Sniper kind of reminds me of the movie that’s showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds.”

As Breitbart.com pointed out Rogen compared “the Nazi parody film ‘National Pride,’ shown in Quentin Tarantino’s movie Inglourious Basterds,” to the Clint Eastwood-directed movie.

He’s not comparing AS to IG. There’s a film in IG that is a patriotic film the Nazis made glorifying one of their soldiers.

He made what he thought was a funny joke but it fell flat and got bundled with Moore’s stupid odious remark.

Sad that I have to explain it to you, but the last part of Inglourious Basterds features Goebbels showing Hitler a propaganda film he made about a sniper.

So Rogen is calling American Sniper a Nazi recruitment film.
