What does it say about the public school system when unnamed “donors” can buy tickets to a propoganda film like this and somehow get these free tickets to public school students of one specific color.

I did, after I had the same reaction as you.
But, I let it slide until you posted. Then, I did a quick search to identify the model.
There are a lot of books out there on Johnson and he was a complex character.
The truth about Johnson is probably worse than one can imagine and his motivations on Race, etc. were probably not what one might expect in trying to look for the truth.
There was once a rumor that Ole Lyndon had a black mistress at one time, is it true, who knows.
