My BIL was born in Turkey, and raised as a moslem. /but he’s not very religious, although becoming a bit more as he’s passed 70. Been a great husband, and father. Very serious, and abdo-lutely no sense of humor. I don’t think he’s really adapted well to American culture, but this is a problem with many immigrants. He misses the culture he grew up in. I watched it on the news and one of the stationed aired the full interview with the dad who stated that it was a setup. Another case of the FBI creating a Jihadi using an informant to encourage and enable an otherwise incompetent for a news flash and bonuses. That kid appeared to have the mental and social skills to be, at the most, a bagger at the grocery store, vice president or a law student at an Ivy League College.
