Weighing in on the Chow conversation - we occasionally dog-sit a Chow named Bear. His face resembles this picture, although he is more of a cinnamon-red color.

Bear is a great dog; very friendly once he knows you're part of the family. If you don't belong, he won't hesitate to challenge you.

Hi verga, and thanks for that. More like “grumpy old woman” huh?

When she was a pup she would lay on the back of the couch looking out the window of the screened in porch. She would give little puppy yips at anything that moved. It drove her older brother nuts until he figured out what her "important" barks were. we would pay attention when he barked. Now with these two if they get two close she gives them the "Git off ma lawn" bark. They are twice her size and they do listen.

Unbroken was pretty good, but I still think The Railway Man was better.

Unbroken should have been a 6 hour miniseries. First part his youth up to the Olympics. Second His time in the army up to and including the crash. Third part POW and redemption after.

...and that is exactly why I give Chow-Chows a wide berth! LOL!

Oh, we love dackel hunds. We lost one to cancer, and our other two in a house fire, but we’ll be putting the new family together when the time is right. And they’ll have proper German names, just like me. :-)
