Buy a bag of mixed dried beans, separate by variety, plant them and they won’t have to worry if the store gets another shipment. If they can get their hands on peppers, tomatoes, squash, melon, cucumber, etc., plant those seeds. Granted it’d take more tries for those to sprout due to hybrids, etc. but eventually there will be success. Save out some potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions and garlic to plant. If the carrots come with the tops on them, plant the tops. The roots of celery will grow, too. Start some mushrooms. Trellis vining vegetables on a balcony, container garden out the back door and on the windowsill. Forage. Share. Camp outside the seed store. Can they not mail order seeds?

Now I am wondering if that is still legal in Venezuela.
