Excuse me? There ARE no “negative aspects” of various cultures, only white American.
Ethnic studies are Marxist studies. I know because I’ve had to take a few. Even took one by accident, actually, though the ethnic stuff was subservient to homo stuff. It was ‘Gender and Crime literature.’ I just focused on Crime Literature coming into it, but found that we ended up talking about trannies, “Chicana/o” trannies (not to be confused with Latinos), and black trannies all the time. And then homo writers with no talent and with clear signs of psycopathic behavior in their biography we had to learn.
how about teaching reading, writing, arithmetic (and the US Constitution).

How about teaching AMERICAN CULTUE FIRST.
2/3 of the population doesn’t know who the founders of our country are .. what they did .. why .. how long it took .. who wrote the Declaration of Independence .. who wrote the Constitution .. Who was our first president ..??
If you can’t answer any of those questions, you have no business taking “ethnic studies” .. because you don’t even know what that means.

Social justice in the classroom. More indoctrination for the young. They can be taught how oppressed everyone is and how the white cis male has destroyed the world for centuries. They don’t want religion in school but Marxist ideology is just fine.
Those who stand against it will be labeled xenophobic, racist, colonialist, imperialist, and capitalist scum. Programs like these are why we need cameras in the classroom. Want to teach it, fine, but the world will be watching. Parents deserve to know who their children’s teachers are and what they are being taught. It will be a grand compromise. Cameras on cops for cameras on all state and federally funded teachers.

America has a culture. And it’s a damned fine one at that, one that’s inclusive to anyone who is willing to embrace becoming an American. And ONLY an American.
Oh. You want me to embrace the thug hip hop culture? Or the illegal alien La Raza conquistador culture? Or the self destructive LGBT culture? Or the invasive, xenophobic, repressive, misogynist, brutal, Islamic culture?

What about European ethnicity?
That’s exactly the point of ethnic studies. They’re not in there learning the history of Africa or something. They’re learning straight out Marxist theory as applied to the “struggle” of “ethnic” peoples. They don’t even hide it too. It was Latino or Black history month sometime this year (can’t remember which) over at the university attend, and guess what we were being exposed to and the books recommended us to read? They’re straight out talking about the “white racist capitalist patriarchy” like it’s the weather or last night’s football game.
They need to concentrate on on making sure students show up with respect for the staff and their “free” education that is being funded by someone else!
School bullying - School violence - all topics being sweep under the rug...and they want to teach about culture...one, these kids don’t care - two, with the lack of respect for staff - does one actually think they are going to want to learn about something other than themselves???
