I have a cousin who signed up for Obamacare. She works full time but doesn’t make a lot of money. She is subsidized down to where her premiums are like $2 per month............but she has a $5k deductible so it is the same as not having insurance to her. She can’t pay the deductible.......but! The insurance company is still collecting the premiums that the stat/fed whoever is paying for a policy that will never be used except maybe catastrophic. How many others are out there just like her?
And their $2.00 premiums are based on me being able to pay my unsubsidized $800.00 a month premiums, with the same deductible, which I can't afford, so I now go without and neither of us are any better off.
