Ronan Farrow: 'Everyone' I Spoke With Understands Absence of Top US Officials from Paris March
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Tuning to Ronan Farrow's MSNBC show today, I was surprised to find him in Paris, and asked myself: what is he doing there?

One thing shortly became clear, he wasn't talking to a wide range of people. Because in discussing the absence of any top US officials from President Obama on down from the Paris march yesterday, Farrow claimed that "everyone here that I spoke to personally said they understood the limitations of schedule that led to that." Everyone? Really, Ronan? What kind of bubble do you float in?

I’m sure most Europeans knew that this was NFL Playoff Weekend... not something President O could miss! Perfectly understandable.

And just what would Frank Sinatra, Jr. know about a Paris event?

I am in the rare position of defending Obama on this, or I guess I just am not all that worked up about him not going, the way I see it, at least he saved the taxpayers some money for once.

And this whole March was a dog and pony “Symbolism over Substance” empty gesture anyway.

By “everyone,” he means his mother.

He demonstrated that he doesn’t know, didn’t listen, wasn’t important enough to be told that the admin line is that Obola’s security requirements would have been “disruptive” to the rally...so it was in the best interests of the rally from him not to be there...

"everyone here that I spoke to personally said they understood the limitations of schedule that led to that."

By that he means the NFL playoff schedule.

Seriously, don’t these leftwingnuts ever get tired of covering for the incompetence? Don’t they fear fecal poisoning? Honestly, their consciences must be so seared for them to be able to spew this crap and then live with themselves.

Deep down, so many of them must know they’re perverting the truth.

He probably phrased the question in a way that the listener only had to say “Yes or No”. A closed end question that doesn’t even require to be closely listened to.
“Yeah, yeah, Kid, Sure whatever. Loved you Mom in that movie about the Baby. Say Hi to your Dad,... Oh, Uhmm Nevermind.”

Yeah right! Buraq Hussein had no problem flying to South Africa to attend communist Mandella’s funeral on a moments notice.

How gullible are Americans these days? Has the teacher’s union really succeeded that much in dumbing down of America?

IF Obama ignored the Paris “We don’t blame Muslims” whinefest was for the right reasons, then yeah. WTG Obama.

But NOTHING Obama does is for the right reason. Here in this case - he just pissed off the Euro-weenies who previously supported him.

Well then, that's a good thing, too. Now maybe they'll wake up. But I wouldn't count on it.

Either way, there are much bigger fish to fry out there.
