Used to be a great area in the 50’s and 60’s. Downhill since the 70’s. The first indoor mall in Memphis opened there around 1966. I remember traveling there from across town with my family. In the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s used to be a great business area, not sure about now. Haven’t been down in that part of town in a long long time. Lived in Memphis 50+ years and never been to Graceland. Love “The King” though.

We used to drive down to that mall back when I was in high school. One day, my car was broken into, and they stole a (used) hair brush, and an old coat that needed to be sent to the cleaners. Writing on the wall, I never went back.
