I’m not sure this is robbery or stupidity on the part of the tellers. I did not read anywhere in the article that:
1. He was armed.
2. He threatened the tellers.
3. He demanded money.
4. He forcefully took money.
Is a note a weapon? Especially one that says, “Please make a donation to my church?” (Not sure on the actual content of the note.)
Methinks the tellers have been trained to lay down to easily.
I bet the professor thought that too.
The moral of the story is to check with a lawyer before doing anything smart.
