Congress gets back to work this week, with a Republican majority in both houses expected to challenge President Obama’s agenda.

It started a bit awkwardly for the GOP though, with House Speaker John Boehner having to survive a couple challenges for his job. Mid-Missouri Republican Blaine Luetkemeyer says he still supports Boehner.

“The frustrating thing to me is, if you’re going to govern, you have to govern in a united front. You can’t govern when you’re divided,” Rep. Luetkemeyer says. “When you do that, you hand the Democrats the reins of power.”

Seeing Boehner on TV after he was elected Speaker again was sickening SOP.

He’s grinning and saying he is looking forward to working with all the republicans in the House.

The first thing he did was remove all those conservative republicans that voted for someone else from any committees they were on.

The prevailing opinion among politicians is to not write a bill that Obama would veto.

Obama keeps saying he wants to work with republicans, but what he means is only if they write bills he wants.

There are about 300 bills sitting on Reid’s (Now McDemocrat) desk which Reid would not allow to be put up for a vote as they might pass.

I doubt the republicans want them up there either.

So what? Send hundreds of bills to his desk and force him to veto them. What a message that would send to voters.
