Mitt Romney 2016: Failed GOP Contender Tells Donors He’s Serious

Multiple news outlets are reporting that Mitt Romney told Republican donors he may pursue another presidential run at a meeting in New York. The Washington Post writes:

Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, told Republican donors in New York on Friday that he is seriously considering a third presidential campaign in 2016, according to a source present at the meeting.

Romney’s move, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, comes as former Florida governor Jeb Bush is swiftly snatching up major party donors and operatives as he prepares for an all-but-certain presidential campaign.

The former Massachusetts governor held a lengthy meeting on Friday with major donors from his past campaigns at an office in midtown Manhattan.

He's won exactly ONE election in his life. Give me Scott Walker, who's won THREE elections just in the last four years!!!

Tell me why this is a bad thing. He and Jeb can split the establishment vote. Put Christie in there and they can split it three ways.

Let’s convince Rand and Huck to step aside for Walker.

Walker and maybe Bobby Jindal.

Or Mike Pence and Walker.

Or Walker and Nikki Haley.

I could live with any of those combos.

It might not be. I am just so sick of hearing about this worthless loser. I live in MA. So I’ve had to deal with him more than most. He’s sickening!

I think like you. 2 prominent RINO’s running simultaneously and splitting votes is much better than what happened in 2012.

I don’t buy it. Romney’s family have told him not to run. Romney thought Jeb was the best candidate even in 2012.
There must be no history of someone winning when they weren’t interested, family said no and they already think another person in the race is a good candidate.

Not all stories have any real basis.

Like the Mike Lee vs establishment story. That is a BS story and pure fantasy that Mike Lee could lose a GOP primary or that Huntsman Sr is doing anything but bitch about Mike Lee.

Romney ran a lukewarm campaign 4 years ago, this time it's barely room temperature.

Of all liberals labeling themselves “republicans”, Romney is the absolute, hands down, worse.

There’s a few people who now officially owe a few of us an apology for the mockery we got about mitt and another run for office.

Speak up. You all know who you are.

Because the cowards have one more Rino to fall back on instead of manning up and voting for a conservative. And they will. Because they always do.

Thats why.

Romney: This Time He’s Super Cereal.
(Yeah, I know that’s a Gore-ism... but it kinda fits Romney.)

Mitt? Nope. Won’t vote for him again. Ever. Him and Jeb are better off running on the Rat ticket.

Does that detached/stupid bastard honestly think that anyone REALLY LIKED him? LOL

He was nothing more than a VERY POOR vehicle for trying to get rid of 0bama. It didn’t work.

The day after the election, I practically forgot who he was. I closely follow politics, and during the campaign, I couldn’t have even told you what his wife’s name was.

Not again. If he gets the nomination, I’m staying home. That also goes for the rest of the liberal “republicans”. I’m DONE with voting for the “lesser of two evils”. It has gotten me exactly NOWHERE.

Flame the hell out of me all you like! (I couldn’t care less)

If he does run, Romney would join a jam-packed field of potential candidates, including
Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), and Rand Paul (R-Ky.), and Governors Rick
Perry of Texas, Mike Pence of Indiana, John Kasich of Ohio, Scott Walker of Wisconsin, and
Chris Christie of New Jersey. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), who is also considering a run,
has been the most proactive potential candidate, setting up a leadership PAC and reaching out to
prospective donors should he decide to enter the race.

A crowded GOP field would make wealthy donors a sparse commodity, and Romney’s announcement
could freeze out financial backing for other establishment candidates such as Bush and Christie.

Walker and maybe Bobby Jindal.

Or Mike Pence and Walker.

Or Walker and Nikki Haley.

A;though no my first choices, I could live with those combos as well. Many people think Walker's lack of a college diploma disqualifies him. Ironic since many, if not most of these same people post those opinions using a college dropout's software.
