The complicated process of signing up for Obamacare is now being matched by IRS instructions to help Americans figure out how much in healthcare taxes they owe Uncle Sam.
The agency has issued 21 pages of instructions, complete with links to at least three long forms and nine tip sheets.
It is geared to those who have Obamacare or who owe a fine, dubbed “shared responsibility payment,” for refusing to get health insurance. The IRS warned that everybody must have health insurance or pay the tax.
“While the vast majority of tax filers — over three quarters — will just need to check a box on their tax return indicating they had health coverage in 2014, people who have coverage through the Marketplaces, or decided not to enroll in coverage, should be aware of some additional steps that will be a part of the tax filing process starting this year,” said the Department of Health and Human Service, which runs the Affordable Care Act.
The IRS form gives multiple examples of how much those without insurance, either through Obamacare or employers, owe in their “shared responsibility payment.”
For example, a single male earning $40,000 a year would owe $298.50....

I keep wondering....where do the hard core homeless fit into all this? They don’t make any money, they don’t pay taxes, they don’t even file tax returns. They don’t care about Obama’s health care laws. And they don’t have the money to pay even a minimal fine.
Have we now made it illegal to be one of these homeless types? Are we going to start sending them to jail?
And you will go to Prison, lose your home, your job, your car, your life.
All property will be confiscated and your dog will be shot.

They’ll keep using hospital emergency rooms like they always have. BTW, I worked with homeless veterans in the 80’s and 90’s. Almost all of them had either drug or alcohol addictions, or both.

Oh, I know they’ll still get basic services. But, shouldn’t the Emergency Room staff now report these people to the police? After all, not having insurance is now a crime.
If the ER staff hasn’t been reporting the millions of illegals to the police all these years, what makes you think this class of scofflaws will be turned-in?
I think you are being 100% truthful and I see it the same way. They have created a machine with our own money and use it against us with the IRS, the courts, any type of department from the federal government right down to your little town. Just as you stated they will take your money, your job, your home, your business, your children, then finally your life all while 52% of this nation just sits on the sidelines stuffing their faces with food purchased with money forcefully removed from my hard working paycheck as they watch their free cable in their subsidized house with high speed internet and an obama phone.
My daughter’s best friend from high school is an accountant. She became an IRS field auditor. Part of her job is to hit the pistol range.
She wears a bullet proof vest on the job.
Yes, I am also “self insured”. Never needed to see a doctor last year and saved a bundle.
