I suppose all first ladies take on a theme just like they were some sort of beauty queen vying for the title of “miss America.” It is obnoxious.

There is only one First Lady who accomplished something that I believe made America ‘better’.

Sure, some others have taken on issues that slightly benefited certain ‘groups’, but not ones that actually benefited us all.

The one that did this was Lady Bird Johnson. She got all the giant advertising signs that were lining the highways removed. America has been better for it.

I agree. Most First Ladies adopt some type of feel-good cause during their stay in the White House. However, I don't think others have hired a staff to promote their particular issue. How much is this woman being paid, and who is paying her salary? (as if we didn't know.)
