In theory Common Core is a very rational idea.
It’s just that absolutely nobody trusts the Federal Government to implement it.

Easy to say you agree in principle with the idea of national standards and yet still rail against Big Government.

National control of the education of our kids IS NEVER a GOOD IDEA!

Most of leftist boondoggles are couched in terms of intent, and that intent is inevitably framed as a “good”.

That’s why it’s intellectually lazy to support anything proposed by leftists.

“In theory Common Core is a very rational idea.”

It is exceedingly illogical to teach in Anchorage exactly what you teach in Miami. We are diverse because we think differently.

We need to get back to the basics. Children naturally want to learn, but our current system kills that desire and replaces it with being told what to think.

Common Core is wrong, and homeschooling is not an escape because testing and college entrance are being aligned to successfully completing a Common Core curriculum.
