It’s finally started to hit down south, I’m in NC. A few flurries around today, temps peaked at 35 around midday. Wind kicked up. 18 now, 10 expected for the overnight low, wind chill below zero. High tomorrow upper 20’s. No real precip on the agenda until next week, though. Not going to break much over 40 as a high for a week or more.
Will be ice fishing in short order if this keeps up. Ice is building on the lakes for the first time this year.
Nothing like last year though. One lake we fished on had 24”+ of ice last winter. Haven’t seen that since the late 70’s early 80’s. We were using cordless drill adapters on our hand augers.
