Vids at link. Cheif Cocran was honest about his deeply held Christian beleifs and everyone's pantioes are up in a wad. (OOPS! Poor choice of words when dealing with this particular demographic)

"This is about judgement" Mayor Kasim Reed stated during the news conference Tuesday. "This is not about religious freedom, this is not about free speech" Reed said. "Judgement is the basis of the problem" Reed commented."
BS - this is flat out religious discrimination. Straight up.

...will not tolerate discrimination within his administration. I'll bet he cannot name a single instance of ACTUAL discrimination against a firefighter by Chief Cochran.

I don’t see anything controversial about them.
And how does his ‘judgement’ in his job performance get affected by his personal views on other topics?
Did he ever show poor judgement in his job? Or just in the view of this moron who heard the views expressed according his freedom of speech?
There is no freedom of speech if you cannot say your personal opinions whatever you want (except for yelling fire in a crowded building)

The war has begun...I applaud the fire chief who despite his suspension reaffirmed his support for traditional firing. As for the Mayor...he is “an antichrist”!

So is Cocran now a former lib? Liberalism cost him his job. I’d be interested to know.

Look at that sorry excuse for a mayor getting all butthurt.
The Chief cleared with the ethics desk and STILL is getting canned? Man alive, that sounds like a slam dunk lawsuit for wrongful termination.

The book also made strong statements towards the treatment of women, Reed noted. Doctors in hospitals make strong statements towards the treatment of women every single day. If Mr. Mohammed Kasim Reed meant something else then perhaps he should have said it. Or, maybe, he is afraid that he'll be sued for defamation?

"This is about judgement" Mayor Kasim Reed stated during the news conference Tuesday. "This is not about religious freedom, this is not about free speech" Reed said. "Judgement is the basis of the problem" Reed commented. Liar. He *WANTS* people to think this is about "Judgement", but it is in fact about religious freedom and freedom of speech.
Just as the Nazis and Communist would allege that dissidents were "Insane", so to is this man trying to claim "faulty judgement" against someone who doesn't bow to the Gay-stapo.
I expect these people are going to get some "Judgement" in the future and it won't be to their liking.
