Along with the wetlands act it is a prime way of devaluing property. If you plan to sell vacant land, first fill and plant over anything that looks like it might be a mud puddle after three days of rain. Get a plant ID book and remove any vegetation that requires high moisture to thrive. Then kill anything that walks, crawls, slithers or flies. Spray the whole thing with an antibacterial solution, in case an endangered germ lives there.
Then, maybe, you’ll get a fair price after the anti-development morons finish their protests against whatever permits your buyer needs.
Purty durn sad situation ain’t it.
Survival of the fittest, except we need to keep some special species alive. How can liberals keep such contradictory thoughts at the same time?
