Ditto. It has prevented me sharing the article.
I’ve held no little respect for Shapiro.
His name is integral to the site.
I hope he keeps a tight editorial rein on his contributors,
so that they, if not him, don’t forego integrity in pursuit of hits.
I am being both gracious and sensible. The point of his comment was that people in uniform feel for each other whtether soldiers or police officers. The term “looks like” has been used many times to refer to race (cf. Di Blasio and Obama and probably Rangel in previous comments) but in this context it’s not what he’s talking about at all. He’s talking about how cops in uniform feel for other cops in uniform and and how soldiers in uniform feel for other soldiers in uniform. He wasn’t trying to use “code” words to suggest that cops only care about other cops who are the same race. What kind of code message do you think he was trying to send? The murdered police officers were hispanic and asian.
I can’t stand Rangel but that doesn’t change the plain meaning of what he said.
Sorry, I disagree with your analysis.
When he saw dead soldiers, he saw them wearing the same uniform he was wearing.
He said he only cared about dead soldiers when they looked like me—meaning, plainly, that when they did not look like him, he did not care about them.
Obviously, they had the same uniform so they looked like him already.
The only difference was skin color.
He is saying he only cared about dead soldiers when they looked like him—black.
Otherwise, there is no reason for the distinction—all soldiers look the same in the same uniform.
He made the distinction based on race, and Charlie is as racist as they come, going way back.
I think what was meant was:
“Anyone attaches the tea party with charges of racism has an IQ lower even than AL Sharpton.”
At least that is the only think that makes sense...if you are not affected by LMD (”Liberalism Mental Disorder”).
[Yikes - my post was not understandable! Clarification follows.]

Racist Pig! But hes black so that makes his the good kind of racism.
Exactly. The article is yellow journalism. It is a booby trap for hits and has caught a lot of boobies here and on TruthRevolt. Folks tend to let their hate (no doubt that Rangle is deserving of some) cloud their perception and reason.
Right away I jumped at the bait, had the article entered onto a site I manage and was ready to hit the post button when having been fooled before, I took a second look. Thank goodness I did, I don’t need hits that bad that I’m willing to sacrifice my integrity by posting race baiting, hate mongering articles.
Thank you Leo, I did not know...
Anyone who accuses the tea party with charges of racism has an even lower IQ than AL Sharpton.

BINGO! I saw his quote the same way....not sure what some other folks on here see. This piece of filth deserves the smelliest compost on planet earth heaped upon his gravesite.
Short, fat, and balding, with walrus mustaches?
Okay, now I get it .. HaHaHa
But .. Charlie Rangel’s comment was more RACIST than I’ve ever even thought of commenting on. And .. to say he never cared about “dead soldiers” until they were black like him .. tells me how racist he is. I can’t remember in my whole life ever looking at a black person and not seeing them as a person; like me.
I guess I never realized how deeply indoctrinated the black community really is. I find it appalling .. and then to have it blamed on white people is even worse.
