It used to be that when you wanted to sling mud at someone whose politics you didn't agree with -- chiefly as a way of making them look bad and yourself look good by comparison -- you'd try to dig up dirt, find a skeleton in a closet or challenge the person's integrity.

Or, in the case of CNN, you'd just call your contact in the DemocRAT Party and see what they had to dish for that day.

Well, for a CNN Online Opinion page article written by a Washington Post writer, this is a very reasonable document. But, because it is CNN, I have to be picky and find some minor thing to gripe about. “Jill Hadassah” is not a particularly odd name (even for a service dog) — Hadassah was Queen Esther’s birth name as many devout Christians and Jews will remember.

OK, now that I have my obligatory “dig” in, props to Ruben Navarrette for a well written piece.

Nice opinion piece. What's so sad is that this piece naturally had to come with the disclaimer:
