Judge dismisses Christian Firefighters’ Lawsuit – Says They must participate in Sodomite Parade
Sons Of Liberty ^ | 1/1/2015 | Anan Coca

You may not remember this, because it all started way back in 2001, but an important test case just resolved itself up in Rhode Island.

Back in 2001, two Christian Firefighters were forced to participate in a sodomite parade that took place in Providence, Rhode Island. The two firemen asked for reassignment based on their religious beliefs and were promptly denied by their superiors. After some time and receiving legal advice, they decided to sue both the mayor and the fire chief of Providence.

The firefighters are both Roman Catholic, and as such, are opposed to the glorification of the homosexual lifestyle. They also argued that by taking part in the parade they were subjected to sexual harassment from parade-attendees as well as their co-workers.

However, the Judge in the case apparently disagreed. Because after more than 10 years of litigation, he has decided to dismiss their case.

Pick up Bradlee Dean's powerful testimony, illustrated by former DC Comics artist Danny Bulanadi, in the Sons of Liberty Store.

Justice William Robinson, writing for all five members of the high court this month, said the men appeared in the 2001 parade as public servants who were “relatively anonymous.” He called it a legitimate work assignment.

“The respondents’ appearance in the parade, solely as members of the Providence Fire Department, did not constitute a form of expression on their part. Rather, it was simply the accomplishing of a task assigned to an engine company of the Providence Fire Department,” Robinson wrote.

While taking part in a city-endorsed parade may be part of the tasks assigned to an engine company, it is unfathomable to believe that the city can force employees to operate contrary to their religious beliefs.

That the First Amendment to the Constitution does not hold precedent over a politically correct expression of sexual deviancy is a crime in and of itself!

The state cannot force Christians to accept as moral and right what the Bible and 4000 years of Judeo-Christian teaching have taught us is wrong. It would be perfectly reasonable, and easily adjudicated, for a Jewish fireman to refuse to participate in a Christmas parade. Or for a Muslim Fireman to beg off of a Bacon Festival Parade.

It should also be reasonable for those who are morally opposed to the celebration of homosexuality to ask not to be forced to participate in a Gay Parade.

What the judge in this case has done is set a precedent saying that government employees can be forced to participate in events that run counter to their morality and even their religion. Christians who happen to be employed by the government no longer have the right to cling to the First Amendment. Not only is this a miscarriage of justice, but it is also a blow to religious freedom for all Americans.

Editor’s Note: This is an issue of conscience. As Peter and John openly declared when told not to preach in the name of Jesus of Nazareth:

“We ought to obey God rather than men.”

I hope these firefighters will remember that and inform the judge that they will not be following his “opinion,” but rather the commands of God.

Priests and Rabbis need to develop some muscle and preach about situations like this. Get the Christians and Jews up in arms about the advancement of the homosexual agenda.

It seems that “reasonable accommodation” to an employee’s religious beliefs would be appropriate.

IOW, if they need a driver for the rig in a parade like this, and an employee objects, ask other employees if they would mind filling in.

But of course the goal here is to force those who disagree to participate anyway.

Would like to point out that if a person really has religious objections to an assigned task, then he should refuse the task even if it means loss of the job or even prosecution.

“We must obey God as ruler rather than man.”

If you’re not willing to lose your job over it, it’s a little difficult to later claim your religious beliefs against the assignment are all that serious.

Find an emergency call somewhere.

“Whoops! I’d like to take part in the parade, but theres a cat stuck up in a tree I gotta rescue”

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The constitution was written for laymen to interpret. Pretty straight forward.

The system has been intentionally broken. Our forefathers knew what to do in such a situation. What are we to do?

Refuse. If these guys are disciplined for it, every church worthy of the name should send a group to the firehouse to protest. Or to the mayor’s office.

There are other ways of fighting back too.

Better yet, develop a 'sudden acceleration' defect.

"If you’re not willing to lose your job over it"

a) If you are, you're conceding that your employer was justified in asking you to violate your religious beliefs.

b) Homosexuals aren't willing. There are dozens of stories where homosexuals force (or try to force) their employer to accommodate their sexuality.

Why would you challenge priests and rabbis to develop some muscle to get us up in arms about the homos?

They are not called to politically activate people. Their job is to preach the Gospel and the Torah and keep pointing to the truth.

Do you know what the homos will do if they catch a minister of the Word deriding homos? They target and marginalize them and throw in lawsuits to boot in order to paralyze them. What preacher do you know has enough ready cash to fight that off? Remember what happened to Anita Bryant when she stood up to the homos in the late 1970s?

Here is Anita's story

A better solution is for us to talk loudly about it and instruct those around us. The homos have a hard time fighting large groups of well-instructed people.

You mean like the Black Robe Regiments of the Revolutionary War? The most hated regiments by the British? The regiments who were able to rally the locals to fight? Those guys? Not gonna happen in this day and age I’m sad to say...

They lost this lawsuit because they approached it from the wrong part of the 1st amendment.

A good lawyer could tell them they would lose on the religious argument, but they were likely to win if they took the *political* argument. That is, argue that the homosexual parade is a political statement, being unlawfully paid for with public funds as political advocacy, and that they, not politically supporting it, cannot be compelled to do so when it does not involve public safety.

Their lawyer could use the analogy that if the parade were to support the Republican party, in political advocacy of its platform, the courts would never permit forcing Democrat firemen to politically advocate for something they were opposed to do. While Democrat police could be compelled to provide security for the event, out of concern for public safety, not advocacy, firemen could not, as appearing in a political parade is not a core function of what they do.

So, because they chose the wrong argument, the city was able to weasel its way out of all the abuse leveled against the unwilling firemen.

There’s hardly anything political about a pitiful homosexual. The CPUSA is behind the push behind the Homosexual Agenda For America.

They do have a kindred spirit in the oval orifice for the next two years in the person of Bathhouse Barry.

Way back in the ‘60s, Bob Hope used to joke that homosexuality was becoming accepted in California and that he was leaving before it became compulsory.
