The Moslem pilot and the large contingent of Christians on board. The temptation must have been great. So far it seems, though that the thing may have made a water landing as if he tried to set it down as best he could.
May be Satan tempted the pilot to take the plane down.
Your screen name suggests to me that you're retired Navy.If I'm correct you may be familiar,perhaps even very familiar,with that part of the world.I am somewhat familiar with that area,having spent some time in Singapore and Indonesia.And one of the many things that sticks in my memory about it are the amazing,frightening.thunderstorms that occur there just about every day.
The papers are saying violent weather is the cause.That sounds like a plausible explanation to me.
Why is it a coincidence? Church groups go on trips.
Um . . . I’m going to guess that it was a church trip. Probably a mission to preach The Word. Maybe it was a very large family going on vacation. There are lots of explanations before we start running for the shelters to protect us from the black helicopters.

I don't believe it was anything nefarious. And even if it was - God still calls the shots.

Thanks for posting this bit of good news concerning this terrible tragedy. I know my brothers and sisters in Christ are with Jesus and I know it brings comfort to those left behind that they will see their loved ones again.
