Call your Representative and tell him he needs to be a patriot and NOT vote for Bonehead. Then call all the other Representatives in your state.

We can do this, but you can’t sit on your hands!

If they dump Boehner then outlook may turn a bit more optimistic. If McConnell should also get the axe I might begin to feel that perhaps the sun might rise again.

There are now two official alternative candidates – Rep. Louise Gohmert (R-TX) and Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL)

Louise Gohmert?

Call up or email your rep and say REMEMBER CANTOR?

You might be next!

Boehner needs to go. Cantor gone. And Scalise too. IF he was that stupid to speak there he can’t be trusted to lead the GOP.

McConnell too. Good Riddance.

A new leaf. Conservative not RINO’s.

Boehner I hope is sweating the alcohol and nicotine out of his system. He can soon breath easier though as no longer being the subject of obama’s blackmail for whatever it is he is hiding. obama’s House water carrier will be a ‘has been’ who never was anything but a political hack..

" If 29 members vote for someone other than Boehner, the process goes to a second ballot and a brokered conference meeting."

The way that I (mis?)understand this procedure is that the quantity 29 derives from the assumption that no Dems or Indys will cast a vote for Boehner. What I'm saying is that if a Dem gets a wild hair in the wrong place, and votes for Boehner, that will cancel one of the 29- won't it?

In the referenced article it refers back to another article, in which it states: "The operative point here is that it is not sufficient to garner a plurality of the votes; the winner must secure a majority of the total number of votes cast. Consequently, given that there are 247 Republican members in the new Congress, if 29 members vote for someone other than Boehner – be it Rep. Jim Jordan, their favorite colleague, or even a private citizen – Boehner will be denied the majority of likely votes cast."

It appears to me that, since 247 minus 29 equals 218, that is %50.11494 of 435, which seems like a majority to me, even with 29 opposed, but what I'm saying is that a few Democrat votes will serve to elect Boehner- the best friend the Dems have on our side.

Or am I completely lost?
