"Gosar just came out against Boehner. Voted for Boehner last time"
They are going to have to build some steam or the clock will run out.
That's my Congresscritter.
Good news.
Bump!
The fact that they’re publically challenging him is a good thing.
he lost 12 in 2013 and still won the speaker’s gavel — and he had a smaller majority. If we really want to defeat boner, we need a major candidate (probably someone already in the leadership) to rally to, not a multitude of back benchers that will just fragment the vote.
Could you (or someone ) list the five?

That will likely happen after the first ballot (maybe a Marsha Blackburn). The first task is to deny Boehner a majority on the first ballot.
Bridenstine, Massie, Yoho, Gohmert and now Gosar.
as long as that can be done without handing it to nancy pelosi.
what order is the vote? do ya know?
Might I suggest that a simple email to your local congressman regarding the ouster of Boehner would be helpful here?
At the moment it doesn’t matter if we split the vote between several conservative challengers. All we have to do is prevent Boehner from winner the Speakership on the first ballet. Once he loses the first ballet then all kinds of new names will come into play before a new speaker is chosen.
I think 50 repbulicans would have tto vote present to happen.
“as long as that can be done without handing it to nancy pelosi.”
She’d also need 218, or a majority of votes cast, if a number of republicans voted present to reduce the majority threshold. But Gohmert said it would take 59 republicans voting present to do that (or republicans voting for Pelosi, which isn’t likely).
Bottom line, this is a republican battle.
The goal is to get to round two (with Boehner knocked out), then they can decide on someone (hopefully) more conservative.
So they don’t need that. Gohmert is obviously the #1 Pick of most here, but ALMOST anyone would do.

It would for others, but my congressman is a democrat. I would highly encourage it for those with a republican congressman.
For my part the most I could do was join that letter campaign sending letters to all 246 reps, which I did.
some people are saying Marsha blackburn as she is conserative and has been in congress for awhile.
