Yep, that Primary thing is where all the folks go out and vote for their favorite guy and those whose guy didn't win decide to stay home and pout and give us an Obama......
. That Ruling Class intimidation tactic from your Oligarchy to Conservatives in order to get us into line behind your corrupt party don't fly no more pal.
Party over Principle People like you are no different than Obama and his party. You are the ones who actually give us Obamas.

The Ron Paul people in the states outwitted the establishment people in the primary process to a large degree in 2012. They got small government people elected to party positions long controlled by party hacks. They got Paulbot kooks elected to party positions. No improvment.

That’s not the point. The point is that it’s even harder to challenge the GOPe than it used to be.

As a state delegate, I definitely have to state that I liked the “Paulbots” a whole lot more than the “Romneybots.” They Paulbots are young, vital, enthusiastic, full of energy, well informed and well educated and they are the future of this party, and in the years to come, they will be the party. The old guard will fade away. The Romney people — well it is better that I not say anything.

I know nothing about Ron Paul except that he hates Israel. That alone would eliminate him fom serving.

I have decided to no longer hold my nose and vote straight GOP ticket. If it’s not someone I want on the ballot I will write in my choice.

Yes, the fix is in, and they call him “Jebbie”. Boehner will be the permanent chairman of the OH-based convention that nominates Jebbie.

“I can tell you first hand that the establishment GOP types dislike the libertarian/conservative coalition aka The Tea Party at least as much as the Democrats do. Probably more.”
Everyone on Free Republic would do well to take that quote to heart. It is a true statement.
I don’t like Ron Paul, and I’m not a libertarian.
The GOP Establishment is SCARED TO DEATH of the Tea Party. That is why they trashed Palin. And that is why one of the GOPe are pushing the IRS scandal. They wanted the Tea Party shut down just as bad as the Dems did.

“I thought there was a thing called a “Primary election”.......... “
Not really. The RNC will place all the money, time, resources, personal support, etc. to their anointed candidate. All the other candidates will basically get nothing in comparison.

Our best hope is that Warren and Hillary have a catfight... No, our best hope IS to "change the rules".
The conservative Republicans in those open primary states need to get busy and fix their primaries so only Republican voters can pick their own candidates.
If you're a Republican, you should get on the state committee, or find some allies who already are on state committee and rattle some cages. If you're a stubborn "independent conservative" maybe you could help your conservative Republican friends to fix this gawdawful mess.

I believe it will take just as long as it did for the Chi-town wing of the DNC to bring Hillary and Oprah from mere underlings to the top of both politics and TV; we need just such a long term plan. The LEFT has taken Mao's Long March to Victory in political and MSM.
