Holy God,

We are so grateful for the deliverance You have provided for us through Your Son. The Light has come, and He is the Light that was sent for all mankind. And His glory is seen upon us. Father, we thank You for so great a love as this: that You would send Your only begotten Son to die for us, making the perfect sacrifice for our sins. How great is the measure of our Father’s love.

Lord, may our military men and women be brought to Your Light and to the brightness of Your rising. May none be lost to physical or spiritual death. Lord, we ask that You be an everlasting Light to them, making their paths plain, and directing their hearts to You.

We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Lord, and the salvation of her people. May all Israel be saved, Father, for this is Your desire. We pray for the repentance of our nation, that we may return to You, Lord. Let us not wait for others to make the first move, but let us make the needed changes in our own hearts and lives. We ask You to call America to humbly return in reverence to You, our God.

Lord, the new year holds great hope and promise. Help us to look to You, for You are the Source of our hope, and our reason for being. Help us to grow closer to You in every way as we commit our ways to You in the year of our Lord, 2015. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
