80 meters is huge (~264 ft). Most US turbines have 90-120 foot blades, I believe.

The ones near me in Hoosierland are 295 ft to the hub of the nacelle and reaching just under 500 ft to the tip of the top of the blades.

The Wind industry helped write the local ordinances and only allowed for 2 times the height of the unit from a home. (1000 ft).

We were able to stop a second wind farm by pressuring the Zoning board to adopt a 2450' setback. With the county in one mile grids, this made it kinda tough for them to cram enough turbines up our butts to be practical.
