No one Understands that concept!

Every time I ever drove by the place, most of the dozens and dozens you can see from the road were idled. Broken. The cost of the waste of that one place alone must be staggering. Depends on how old they are. The economics of wind-power are such that, once the federal subsidy runs out (25 yrs, I think), the project is abandoned.
Thus, the Indio field may no longer be a functioning operation.

By now it must be. I havent been by there in probably 7-8 years. At the time, some of them were still spinning, though whether or not thats because their locks/brakes/whatever failed or whether they were generating I have no idea.

It’s a unit of linear measure in the metric system; slightly longer than our Imperial yard.

With even the whiff of that Skunkworks fusion release a couple weeks back, you can bet your ass the builders of these are going to go hog wild trying to milk the subsidies for every $ they can get before they become monuments for crazy old jousters to tangle with...
Watch, during this, someone will come along and propose placing them in fenced off trenches so they aren’t eyesores. The same people in government that had conniptions getting rid of a couple hundred thousand cattle guards in the 90’s will approve it.

Whats a metre and where can I get one? I think it's 3.33 times a "fut", as in "futbol".
Which, I think, is some kind of "sporte".
