Nope, the facts say otherwise. The buildup to WWII is what really put everyone to work. We were heading into a downturn until Hitler invaded France. Roosevelt's programs were non starters.
Your comments (unless I am mistaken) are about the 1930’s depression. I think you are talking about a different time period.
