We will wait and see.

Not much hope, though, the party of the Chamber of Commerce works mightily to retain its reputation of computer, utter stupidity.

“as these members stand before their constituents and gratuitously utter the words “John Boehner,” they will have sealed their own fate for the next two years because they have offered no alternative plan to reestablish a modicum of conservative control over the conservative party. Those self-described conservatives who are reluctant to join this effort have an obligation to put forth other ideas for reestablishing a voice within the party.

On Tuesday, choose wisely and fear no man.”

It would be novel and very exciting if our representatives actually represented we, the people, this time around.

Another interesting thought is what would happen if some of the conservatives would vote with the Rats for Ms. Clueless. Wouldn't be that much worse than Boo Hoo ... they can call for a new election any time ... it would be a lot easier to give her the boot than the Rino ... they would probably have more leverage over the twit than they would have over the cry-baby.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but per the House rules for electing the Speaker:

All Boehner needs is enough Democrats to either abstain or vote "present". They don't even have to vote for him.

The Speaker only needs a majority of the Representatives that actually vote for an individual.

So, you have to ask: what do the Democrats fear more? Boehner as Speaker, or a conservative Republican as Speaker? Once you answer that question, how do you think they will vote?

I called my republican rep’s office this morning and advised him to dump the speaker in the upcoming election. We’ll see.

If the conservatives can’t/won’t pull the trigger on this and force Boehner out, they will never exert enough power in the GOP to change the party’s elitest political control.

More simply, if they won’t unseat Boehner, they will never have any power in the GOP.

Wishful thinking, I'm afraid.

IF 29 R's were to vote for some candidate other than Boner, I would expect as many D's as necessary to defect and vote FOR him.

I believe the deal has already been struck between WH and Congress - Obama continues to rule by decree while Congress flails around in gridlock. Nothing changes except who gets blamed (the R's)

I’ve already contacted Marsha Blackburn’s office and told them to tell her that if she votes FOR Boehner I’ll work my butt off to primary her in 2016.

I’m sorry, I don’t see this happening. They will cave and reelect Boehner and allow Obama to continue wiping his a$$ with the Constitution..

I submit that we will know how many conservatives are in the House AFTER the vote.

Would this be 29 conservatives and all democrats? I may be mistaken, but both sides of the aisle vote on speakership....right?

If this is indeed the case, what would keep democrats from voting for Boehner seeing as he’d be a fairly productive “useful idiot”?

The GOP must decide whether it is the alternative to the Democrats, or merely the ‘rat-lite party.

Boehner is Rat-lite. He is not conservative. It’s past time for the Weeper to go!
