You probably know this, but you need to throw some “browns” in with it, as well. That means wood mulch, leaves, etc.
Otherwise, the nitrogen content will be too hot to use your compost because of the chicken poop.

Yeah, but we never get the chance. I kid you not. It’s empty and we’ve been filling it since last spring.
