I have spent way to much time with you people! Let me explain. I have a puppy. So I have been sleeping on the couch to accommodate said puppy. I sleep with the TV on and wake to the sound of the National Anthem being played prior to the start of Fox and Friends First.

So scene set.

The first thing I heard after the National Anthem and I am still not quite awake as the alarm has not gone off, is "Liberal Lion" and with out hesitation I said you mean "lying liberal". I was not even really awake yet.

I see what you mean, the encomium “liberal lion” had been conferred upon Teddy “Swimmer” Kennedy after he croaked. Now that mantle passes to Pope Mario the First (”Pious”), candidate for progressive sainthood.

It appears that “liberal lion” means “loudmouthed elected liberal troublemaker defying the wishes of an ignorant misinformed public, who has now assumed room temperature so let the really gushy fulsome praise begin”.
