this playoff is a joke that we foolishly asked for (if not demanded) that the moneyed powers that be simply turned into an even bigger cash machine for themselves. We played into their hands.

Hawkeye: Radar, that was supposed to be a secret. Why did you tell Hot Lips and Ferret-face?
Radar: I couldn't help it. They dragged it out of me.
Hawkeye: Dragged it out of you? How?
Radar: By listening!

This sort of talk always reminds of the quote from Jack Lambert about putting dresses on quarterbacks..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxDUCaUYhnw

Absolutely. Once the cool players couldn’t or wouldn’t self police the jerkwads, fruity self-congratulatory prancing and chest slapping displays became commonplace and routine for even mundane plays. Only 16 regular season games each being so important, a million re-playable camera angles and modern officiating allow the jerkwads to run the show. And football only became even more popular for all the swishy jerkitude. Looking at the state of the general culture, it probably isn’t too surprising. That’s why it is unwatchable in the modern era, at least for me.

As far as the ultra popular free farm system the NFL uses, it’s generally a lot easier to bench or cut problem players before they get to the big show when they are playing 2nd base for the Richmond Flying Squirrels or the Altoona Curve.

I’ll have to read this article later.

No article, just a video.

I hate videos.

When a lawyer loses a lawsuit shouldn’t it be malpractice because they didn’t win? It seems if a physician loses a patient its because he didn’t win or find the right angle to keep the patient alive. Considering the variables within a human body or the facts of a court case, shouldn’t a lawyer have more of a likelihood of being sued considering a fair standard?

Ironically, it’s probably safer with leather helmets.
