Nelson Richard Hall
WILLIAMSON - With blue lights and sirens blaring the driver of a PT Cruiser with Florida tags drove a half of a mile before pulling over for City police. Williamson Police Officer J. D. Tincher was attempting to stop the vehicle for crossing the center line and having a brake light out.
Upon approaching the vehicle and making contact with the driver the officer observed him to have slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver was later identified as Nelson Richard Hall, 24 of Lenore.
Hall immediately began refusing commands from the officer. It took the officer two attempts of commanding Hall to stop smoking and take the three standard field sobriety test. Hall took the horizontal gaze nystagmus test which showed signs of intoxication but refused to take the remaining two tests and the preliminary breath test.
Hall informed the officer to go ahead and arrest him it was not big deal to go to jail. While handcuffing Hall, he became aggressive and turned around, facing the officer and said It aint going this way, Im a gonna see my baby and you wont stop me. Ill beat your xxxx
Hall then immediately took a swing at the officer causing the officer to immediately tase him. The officers equipment failed and Hall then proceeded to grab the officer by his shirt and arm.
The officers baton was then used and Hall was stuck one time in the right arm. The officer took Hall to the ground where he continued to refuse to listen to commands and resist arrest. When attempting to place Hall in the cruiser, he took off running on foot. The officer apprehended him and placed him back in the cruiser.
When conducting a search of the vehicle a total of 122 Alprazolam 1 mg (generic for Xanax) pills were found in an improper container in the floor board on the drivers side. Two empty six packs and an open container of alcohol were found inside the vehicle. While in the cruiser, Hall continued to kick the windows during the search of his vehicle.
Hall was taken to Williamson Memorial Hospital for a blood draw and treatment which he refused. Hall asked to use the restroom at the hospital and he proceeded to urinate on the walls, floor and toilet paper rolls. Hall also smeared his blood on the walls of the restroom and his hospital room while continuing to curse and scream at the medical staff and officer despite being told to stop.
When being processed Hall refused to stay seated and threatened the officers life multiple times telling him he was going to kill him and stated, Dont get used to your head cause its mine when Im out xxxx
Hall admitted to the officer he was on his way to his ex-wifes residence to see his child and he knew she had a protective order against him.
Hall has been charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors in the past including domestic violence, domestic strangulation, battery. Hall was convicted of resisting arrest and obstruction on December 8.
Hall appeared before Mingo County Magistrate Pam Newsome on December 30 and charged with Left of Center, Defective Equipment, No Proof of Insurance, Assault on an Officer, Battery on an Officer, Obstruction, Fleeing on Foot, Possession with Intent to Deliver, Destruction of Property, DUI and Disorderly Conduct. Hall is being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $19,600 bond.
So?
Shouldn’t this stuff be in chat or something?
It is the only white guy the police anywhere had to rough up in twenty years!
And it’s only because they ran out of blacks.

Well it IS WV.
Looks like a WV cop doesn’t have much trouble subduing a drunken redneck. Maybe he has experience in this sort of thing?
Ain't elliptical reporting wonderful.
He needs Xanax.
Average arrest incident in WV....this was a nightly thing when I was there....fighting drunks...resisting arrest...intoxicated...pursuits...typical patrol tour...
Williamson is Hatfield-McCoy country. It’s also coal country. Williamson has a very large rail yard just for handling coal hoppers.
Looks like he met the pavement fairly hard. Good deal.

In Mingo County? You bet!
I am a little surprised at the name of the county. ‘Mingo’ means ‘I urinate’ in Latin. Wonder how they got that name?
A future democrat candidate for Congress.

“Mingo” means “chief” in the Choctaw and Chicksaw languages. Those tribes weren’t in the WV mountains as far as I know, but maybe some other tribal languages are closely related enough to use the same word with the same meaning.
I know people with that surname. They’re more Indian than anything else. Not every word has a Latin root.
“charged with Left of Center,”
Heh, in a perfect world....
