Congressman To Boehner: Make Scalise Resign From Leadership Over David Duke Aide Relationship
breitbart.com ^ | 12/31/14 | Matthew Boyle

Democratic Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney of New York is the first member of the U.S. Congress to call on House Speaker John Boehner to ask for House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise’s resignation.

Maloney wants Scalise’s scalp after the revelation that Scalise had a years-long personal and political relationship with Kenneth Knight, the top political aide to former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke.

“It is beyond offensive that a member of House leadership would knowingly court such a hate group, and it is doubly insulting that Congressman Scalise asserts that he didn’t know who David Duke was or the hate promoted by that group,” Maloney told The Hill newspaper. “Speaker Boehner should demand Congressman Scalise resign his leadership post immediately.”

That relationship included Duke’s one time campaign manager asking Scalise, then a state lawmaker, to speak around an event at one of Duke’s organizations called EURO. Scalise has admitted to and apologized for speaking at the event, but there’s some confusion about when, and to what group he spoke. Knight has now said that Scalise spoke at a civic association event that was in the same venue as the EURO event.

Nonetheless, it was widely known in Louisiana politics Knight was associated with Duke. Making matters worse, Scalise—according to interviews Knight and Duke gave to the Washington Post—regularly communicated about issues important to Duke with Knight. Also, six years after that 2002 event during Scalise’s 2008 U.S. House campaign, Knight phone banked for Scalise’s campaign and donated $1,000 to Scalise. Scalise has not returned the donation.

If Boehner and Scalise succeed in retaining their positions, I hope all these stories serve to reduce their powers of intimidation.

After this, when Boehner (through Scalise) comes around demanding the votes of the rank and file on this or that, I hope his power to intimidate them is thoroughly diminished so that eventually, they pay absolutely no attention to him.

I demand that Obama resign because of his close associations with the terrorist Bill Ayers, the hate-filled black supremacist Jeremiah Wright, and the racist con artist Al Sharpton. Obama did far more than give one speech to or for these guys a dozen years ago: He is still actively associated with them, and in the case of Sharpton, an advisor.

Until the Democrats call for Obama’s resignation on those grounds, they can kiss my a$$.

“Still on this story? After it was proven to be false?”

Did you read the article?? Whether Scalise spoke at the group thing or not, he clearly has associated himself with David Duke’s aide.

Ask yourself if a Tea Party congressman had done this, whether he would be patted on the back by Boehner, and promoted and protected?

Dems accuse Pubs of the very thing that they are doing.

Pubs catch heat, Dems don’t.

Boehner has an opportunity to assert strong leadership. Instead of whimpering and apologizing he needs to stand up forcefully and state that being WHITE does not automatically make you a target for the HATERS and RACE HUSTLERS who make up the democrat party.

And being BLACK does not insulate you from being criticized when you use your BLACKNESS as an excuse for defaming others and/or breaking the law.

The time is NOW to FIGHT BACK against the tactic of the left, that assumes all white people are racists unless they proven otherwise.

And the corollary: That all Black people are considered innocent victims of white oppression and not responsible for the uutter failure of the Black Community to rise up and embrace The American Dream: OPPORTUNITY!

Its funny isn’t it.

FReepers flap their gums about not caving in to the democrats and now many of the same FReepers are screaming that the GOP must cave in to the democrats based on a liberal provided lie.

Scalise may very well be a RINO, I don’t know because I haven’t paid any attention to him but its certainly not worth selling out my principles over to get rid of him. If we get rid of him it should be for real reasons.

And I want Boehner to reply, “You mean he’s not in the running as the ‘conscience of the Senate”, like Robert Byrd?”

And I want someone, anyone in a public and leadership position, to state that being being pro-white isn't hateful, unless it's hateful for the Black Caucus et al to be pro-black, and hateful for Holder and Hussein, national leaders, to speak of "my people" when referring to blacks.
