LOL. I got to say, though, the Enquirer does a really good job researching their stories—far better than the NYT or Wash Post.
I once represented a well-known actress who got an AWFUL, NASTY cover in the enquirer. She wanted to sue. They showed us the background research. We were hosed—no chance of winning. At least by accuracy and research standards, the Enquirer is a much better paper than the NYT.
But to my original point, unless there are bylaws or contracts that say Osteen can’t do that, there doesn’t sound like much of a legal scandal. And the folks who follow Osteen and the self-fulfillment, prosperity crap are pretty gullible. Don’t think he lose too many parishioners over this.
