A South Korean activist said Wednesday that he will launch balloons carrying DVDs of Sony's "The Interview" toward North Korea to try to break down a personality cult built around dictator Kim Jong Un. Activist Park Sang-hak said he will start dropping 100,000 DVDs and USBs with the movie by balloon in North Korea as early as late January. Park, a North Korean defector, said he's partnering with the U.S.-based non-profit Human Rights Foundation, which is financing the making of the DVDs and USB memory sticks of the movie with Korean subtitles.
**SNIP**
It is not clear how effective the DVD drop will be, as only a small number of ordinary North Korean citizens are believed to own computers or DVD players.

or “The Interview” freeze dried food
More PR scamming by Sony.
“The Interview” news is like a circle jerk in Gay New York.
Drop it.
Great, so some poor schmoe picks this turd of a movie with no idea what it is and gets a 9mm in the back of the neck for his troubles.
Great way to spread freedom.
And the worst part, even though id love it to be seen there, is that anyone caught with it will be sent to a concentration death camp. As far as I know the only nation using them right now.
Everything from Bibles to pro-democracy literature to thumb drives to transistor radios are launched.
The North Korean government is aware of them, and will shoot them down if they can, and arrest people caught with the materials. Since possession can carry the death penalty, it's not something people take lightly.
He’d better plan on dropping some hand-crank DVD players too...
DVDs can be used as scrapers for leveling out dirt floors.
Wonder if DVD’s taste good.. maybe better than NOTHING!...
DVD cases made out of hard candy could be useful.. with some propaganda..
HEY!... 4 DVD’s could make wheels on a wagon..
That idea seems idiotic.....not wisdom to cause an international incident. The North Korean Leader does not appear to me to be all that stable, and to set him off over a movie seems less than intelligent.
I keep one on my boat as an emergency signaling mirror: It'll never rust!
This movie stinks....America & the entire world, you have been scammed by shysters, Sony & Obama!!! LMAO, at you idiots that paid out one cent to see this farce of film making. One word....Buffoons!!!
Without electricity, it would be like dropping printed leaflets on a herd of cows. “Why are you dropping little round mirrors on us?”. ....No electricity, folks.
By balloon or “burroon?”
DVDs are good 200 yard + targets. Not so good at 100.
I watched this movie on the Internet [for free of course] and it was funny and entertaining. Yes it was trash and ridiculous, but that’s what we brain dead, slob Americans go for. A few more movies like this, a free Obama phone and I may go for a third term for Dear Leader Omama!
