When is the vote? I thought the vote took place with the outgoing (past tense) Congress...

That was the GOP caucus voting. But the Speaker can't actually be elected until the entire House is seated. So, there has to be at least one more vote -- this one involving the whole House.

Given that some resistance has been aired, it is conceivable that the GOP caucus might hold another vote before the House vote. I doubt Boehner would want to be embarrassed in public, so some kind of "test of strength" vote is likely to be held in the caucus.

With that said, Bohner is a shoe-in. The demodummies want to keep him in, he’s one of them.

There was no vote by anyone at anytime. Rumors of a vote are not true. Common sense dictates that the new House is the one that votes. Everyone votes for the Speaker of the House, which by the way, does not have to be a representative. It is by tradition that a representative is the Speaker, but the Constitution states clearly the Speaker can be anyone.

Having stated this, there is no chance, I repeat zero chance, that Boehner is not elected Speaker once again. The members want him, otherwise, they would not vote for him.

Likewise, no vote has been taken for Majority Senate Leader, but both votes are taken as soon as the members are sworn in at noon.
