Some 87 percent of people who just signed up for Obamacare are getting financial assistance to lower their premiums, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.
That is a jump from 80 percent during the last open enrollment period.
... includes more than 3.4 million people who selected a plan in the 37 states that are using the HealthCare.gov platform for 2015

Unsustainable.
ObamaCare fines rising in 2015, IRS prepares to collect

...now its $325 up from $90. “unexpected” !
HealthCare.gov platform = federal exchange (not a state exchange)
Now, isn’t that going to present a problem? Of this vast number on the various plans, those who enrolled through the Federal site and not the individual state sites, will be disallowed the subsidy, and how much of a howl is going to go up from THAT?
And the plans they signed up for have such huge co-pays, it is almost like there were no insurance at all.
They have just heard the land mine that was stepped on go “Krick!”
Get ready for the BOOM!
That was the first thought which popped into my thick skull.
When will we start hearing from the "professional" economics guru's?
At least the ones not on the Governmental dole, or from the west wings influence.
The ticking time bomb on the huge co-pays will be the increase in bad debts not collected by hospitals.
Watch for it.
But the aid does not apply to the $5,000 deductibles. (yet)
I expect they probably looked for every possible excuse to get them signed up for a subsidized plan, trying to make it "too big to fail" before the SC gets a chance to decide.
What a Gruber Gobber of a mess.
Its completely sustainable - as long as the FED can print all the money it needs to buy up debt, and can manipulate interest rates to zero, and we can maintain the US Dollar as the worlds reserve currency by squashing anyone who tries to go against it.
Its the Progressive dream.
Who did not see that coming?
Meanwhile, the premiums of working people are going up and up.
Just like the cost of college...Hmmmmm, I wonder what they have in common.
NOT “federal” aid -— TAXPAYER-FUNDED aid!!!! We have to stop preaching how programs are funded by the feds or the state when, in reality, they are funded right our of YOUR pocket. So, yes, you and I are subsidizing the purchase of health insurance premiums by others as well as paying our own.
Hate to say you are right, but this currency scam they’ve hit upon seems like just the ticket to keep the game of Socialist Three-Card Monte going indefinitely.
As long as all other nations are in as bad a fiscal shape, or worse, who’s gonna stop it?
Hey, why not? The “rich” can afford it.
If there is a genuine need for more taxpayer subsidies for medical care, it should be done by the states where that need exists - and not by the Feds.

WHAT YOU SAID IS EXACTLY RIGHT!! For a New Year’s resolution, perhaps we FReepers can make an effort to consciously remind the media of this fact, write in to op-eds, comment on other sites, etc., to keep beating the drum that “federal” money is OUR MONEY.
