TEHRAN, Iran The United States has proposed an exchange of Iranian prisoners in the U.S. for a former U.S. Marine currently in prison in Iran, the semiofficial ISNA news agency reported on Tuesday a report which was immediately denied by Washington.
The report quoted Mahmoud Alizadeh Tabatabaei, the lawyer for Amir Hekmati, as saying Washington's proposal was delivered to the Iranian government via the Swiss embassy which represents Washington's interests in Iran.

He should throw in 500 billion dollars to sweeten the deal.
The only people he refuses to negotiate with is the GOP
Who to believe? the Iranians or Obamaroids..........
You have to wonder if Hekmati has harmed the US in a way that endeared him to Obama, or if Bam Bam is just using him as an excuse to harm us by giving up a bunch of terrorists.
Related to Valerie somehow?
article: "former US Marine"
Two different things.
There is a Pastor who is imprisoned in Iran, and I think he is former military, not sure. If it is him, that would be good...not sure if he is same as ex Marine.
He didn’t do anything for Marine Tamoressi who was jailed in Mexico.
The article doesn’t say, but let me guess, Obama wants to give Iran back their Nuclear Scientists we have in custody so they can finish their nukes.

Prisoner exchanges are a part of war. Prisoner exchanges, not ransom. I was a bit uncomfortable with the Cuban exchange. Leaving aside non exchange concessions, aka ransom, it wasn't clear to me Alan Gross was a spy. But how would I know, he did work for USAID, so it could have been a legitimate exchange. Which in my mind would only involve those acting at the behest of the US Government. Leaving out his service which is irrelevant, he also could have been an agent, denials in both cases aside, I hope our government isn't making exchanges for detained civilians.
