Being uninsured in America will cost you more

WASHINGTON (AP) — Being uninsured in America will cost you more in 2015.

It's the first year all taxpayers have to report to the Internal Revenue Service whether they had health insurance for the previous year, as required under President Barack Obama's law. Those who were uninsured face fines, unless they qualify for one of about 30 exemptions, most of which involve financial hardships.

Dayna Dayson of Phoenix estimates that she'll have to pay the taxman $290 when she files her federal return. Dayson, who's in her early 30s, works in marketing and doesn't have a lot left over each month after housing, transportation and other fixed costs. She'd like health insurance but she couldn't afford it in 2014, as required by the law.

It seems many will qualify for these exemptions which means not as much revenue generated to continue funding this mess.

America was "Gruberdomized".

And I hope every voter that helped make this possible feels the hurt REAL BAD.

Most, but not all. It would be nice for them to list all the exemptions...so the average American sees who doesn't have to pay.

I’ve had zero income for two years. I don’t qualify for an exemption because I have no debt and my power hasn’t been cut off. (There were a bunch of questions, including are you on EBT or any form of assistance? If you answer all the welfare questions as no then you owe the tax.)

You only OWE the TAX if you get a Tax Refund from the IRS.
If you have no income and get no refund or PAY every year as I do, because I am self employed. There is NO TAX DUE.

If you have no income and the IRS doesn’t owe you a refund then they cannot collect the “tax” or penalty, or whatever...

As of now.

In the future I see agents with guns showing up on your doorstep to collect. But for now I think you’re O.K.

Being Insured in America is costing everyone more.

Our rates increased by 15% AND OUR DEDUCTIBLE WENT UP BY 20%. The insurance wasn't very good to begin with, as it had a high deductible HSA program, but we liked it because our Out of Pocket Expenses where capped.

Many people will simply not file. The IRS will take years to chase them all down.

They will most likely keep it on the books and charge you some exorbitant interest. If nothing else, these government maniacs will squeeze it out of any estate you leave. You probably can’t escape these criminal feds. Good luck!

This is true. The only collection vehicle the IRS has is the tax refund. They can’t get it any other way. My advice don’t pay it as the GOP even as screwed up as they are will do away with the individual mandate in the next couple of years.

Just another tax, right?

It's not like GuvCo is forcing people to buy something they don't want or can't afford.

That would be wrong and unconstitutional and the SCOTUS would never allow that to happen, right?

A few surprises in store for some voters.

************************************

Let the “squalling” begin as some of those ‘happy’ Obamacare card holders find out that they’re income was understated (thus all those hefty subsidies) and they owe, owe, owe. I believe I remember some stories about the Obamacare navigators being a little loose in their advice to folks trying to enroll on this particular item. Unlike the ‘penalty’ that can only be taken from refunds (no liens, garnishments allowed), the claw back of overpaid subsidies can be handled as the IRS usually handles money owed (liens, etc. allowed). Then of course, all the happy subsidy campers (NOT) when they find out their subsidies will be a lot less this year because they allowed HHS to auto enroll them & their plan is no longer the one that gives them the biggest subidy so their premiums are going up - some will go up substantially. OOPS!!! The caterwauling might even reach the ears of a few Congresscritters .... maybe even one or two who give a flying flip.

If you receive a shut off notice from a utility company you qualify for a hardship exemption. Pay your electric bill a little bit late after you receive the cut off notice and you don’t have to pay the fine for not having health insurance.

The solution is simple. Stop giving your money to your enemy. Any of it. Ever.

DO NOT COMPLY.
If just 10% have the guts to stand on their principles, the whole unconstitutional thing crashes within a few years.
