The article states that there have been 18 drive by shootings in the past two weeks.
Not sure if this is local or some other measurement.

The police should have or receive some decent leads as there were several sitting outside
when the car car by and the shooting occurred.

Are you serious?

If there were enough people in that “community” who would willingly tell the cops what they saw/knew, there wouldn't have been 18 drive by’s in the last two weeks.

Do you want them to call in an anonymous tip?
The courts toss that out before the actual trial, but the records of the tip(s) are retained and given to the perps.

The perp plea bargains down, the jury (if there is a jury) never sees the tip, but the perp does.
Not to terribly hard to figure out who “snitched”,based on the records of the tip.

What do you think the perp does about that? It doesn't have to happen more than twice before word gets out locally that “snitches get stitches”, courtesy of the government justice system.

Think your immune because you live in a nice neighborhood?

It's just more bloody when you live at the bottom ranks of society.
